Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our team and develop their career within a progressive and supportive environment.


About the Role

Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role offers hands-on experience and genuine responsibility across a broad range of accounting functions. You will:

  • Meet with clients and prepare Income Tax Returns

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly BAS and IAS statements

  • Prepare accounts to Trial Balance stage for senior review

  • Identify and document inconsistencies for follow-up

  • Prepare client files to a defined professional standard

  • Liaise confidently and professionally with clients

  • Accurately collect, process and enter financial data into our systems

This role offers exposure to a wide variety of industries and entity types, making it an

ideal next step for someone wanting to broaden their practical experience.


About You

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, career-focused and committed to professional growth.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Advanced Diploma of Accounting (or higher) and a desire to progress to degree-level qualifications

  • 1-3 years' experience in a similar accounting role

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare Income Tax Returns and BAS statements

  • Sound knowledge of current accounting and taxation legislation, with the ability to research when required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience with MS Excel and accounting software (Xero and Suite Files preferred)

  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
