Royal Life Saving NSW|ACT|TAS is seeking a motivated and organised Customer Service Officer to join our Northern Regional Office team. This role is integral to supporting our training and education programs, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of our regional office.

As the first point of contact for customers, you will play an important role in supporting course participants, trainers, and internal teams while contributing to the delivery of life-saving education across the community.

About the Role

The Customer Service Officer provides essential administrative and operational support across customer enquiries, training bookings, financial administration, and office coordination.

Key responsibilities include:

Customer Service

  • Respond to customer enquiries professionally and within one business day

  • Provide support to course participants and clients undertaking Royal Life Saving training

  • Maintain positive relationships and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

Administration & Finance

  • Prepare and manage financial reports

  • Process invoices, assist with bank reconciliation, and manage trainer payroll tasks

  • Maintain accurate records and administrative systems

Reception & Office Coordination

  • Manage reception duties including greeting visitors and handling incoming calls

  • Maintain a professional and welcoming front office environment

  • Assist with general office organisation and upkeep

Training & Course Coordination

  • Manage public course calendars and bookings

  • Coordinate group bookings and liaise with trainers for job allocations

  • Prepare and pack course resources for trainers

Stock & Data Management

  • Oversee ordering and management of training resources and stock

  • Complete accurate data entry and course result processing

  • Ensure compliance with privacy and organisational requirements

The role works closely with teams across NSW, ACT and TAS to support the delivery of training programs and provide a seamless customer experience.


About You

To succeed in this role, you will be highly organised, customer-focused, and confident managing multiple administrative tasks.

You will ideally bring:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Experience in administration, reception or customer service roles

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders

  • A proactive and positive approach to work
