About the Role:


NEW ROLE AVAILABLE

Looking to find a support worker,

  • Worker r with good mental health experience

  • Good organisational skills (a key part is to help her be organised with appointments, ART documentation and follow up on actions needed)

  • Proactive and takes initiative. A key issue is that Diane is always having to direct people, and she really needs people to “read the room”, support her when she is struggling, and take initiative.

  • Help planning activities out of the house (so sourcing events, planning for joy)

  • Staff need to be well trained and understanding of disability work, and confident in supporting people who are having a difficult time coping.

  • 61 years of age

  • Namucca heads. 30 to 40 mins from Coffs Harbour

  • 20 hours a week, .

 Workers MUST have ABN.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play an essential role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

-Social and community access: Helping clients engage in meaningful activities within their community.

-In-home support: Assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, cleaning, and more.

-Personal care and daily living: Providing support with hygiene, grooming, and other personal care activities.

-Transportation: Assisting clients with transportation to appointments, social activities, and events.

-High-care support: Delivering compassionate care to clients with complex and high-care disability needs.

Key Requirements:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings.

Adherence to organisational policies, procedures, and reporting standards.

Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Current First Aid & CPR certification.

Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and other stakeholders.

A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable car.
