Your opportunity
Be part of a pioneering new Supported Temporary Accommodation service in Coffs Harbour that is helping to reshape how people experiencing homelessness access and sustain housing support. This innovative, first-of-its-kind service brings together integrated housing and support pathways to improve stability, well-being, and long-term outcomes.

As a Housing Pathways Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and driving housing pathways from temporary accommodation into safe, stable, and long-term housing. You will use your housing expertise to create sustainable outcomes for participants and contribute to building a new service model from the ground up.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside Case Managers and Intake Support Workers with Lived Experience, you will help strengthen partnerships across the housing and community services sector and ensure coordinated, effective responses that support long-term housing stability.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Build positive, trauma-informed and person-centred relationships with clients to support their journey from homelessness to sustainable housing.
• Develop tailored Housing Pathways Plans and source suitable housing options across private, social, community and transitional housing sectors.
• Prepare clients for successful housing applications by coordinating documentation, addressing tenancy barriers and supporting property inspections and tenancy establishment.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with housing providers, real estate agents, community housing organisations and support services to maximise housing opportunities.
• Collaborate with Case Workers, Peer Workers and Client Liaison Officers to deliver coordinated support and improve client outcomes.
• Support tenancy readiness and sustainment through coaching, group sessions, crisis response and ongoing client engagement.

Requirements for success

• Relevant qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Human Services, Housing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.
• Knowledge of housing pathways, tenancy processes and housing support services.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build relationships with housing providers and community partners.
• Demonstrated ability to work using trauma-informed and person-centred practices.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Full driver's licence with no restrictions.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate is required.
