Site Manager – Over 50s Lifestyle Community
Woolgoolga, NSW | Established Builder | Starts Late June
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of an over 50s lifestyle community in the seaside township of Woolgoolga, NSW. This is a significant project for a valued repeat client and will be our third major development in this community.
You will take day-to-day control of site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and to an exceptional standard of quality. We are looking for a Site Manager who takes genuine pride in workmanship, drives quality outcomes and sets high expectations for trades and subcontractors on site.
Leveraging our well-established local trades and supplier network, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality project and maintaining the strong reputation we have built with our clients and stakeholders.
This is a site-based role in Woolgoolga, commencing at the end of June.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Programming
Manage the day-to-day running of the site, including scheduling and coordinating works.
Develop and maintain short- and mid-range construction programs in line with contract milestones.
Coordinate inspections and ensure works are sequenced efficiently.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure all works meet relevant building codes, Australian Standards and company quality benchmarks.
Conduct regular QA checks and manage defect rectification.
Drive a culture of quality on site, ensuring workmanship meets the highest standards and defects are prevented rather than rectified.
Hold subcontractors accountable for quality outcomes and maintain a strong focus on delivering works right the first time.
Maintain site documentation, reports and records as required.
Safety & Site Presentation
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to WHS legislation and company policies.
Lead site inductions, toolbox talks and risk assessments.
Maintain a clean, organised and professional site at all times.
People & Subcontractor Coordination
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and suppliers.
Monitor performance, resolve on-site issues and support a positive team culture.
Work closely with the Construction Manager, client representatives and consultants.
Lead and mentor other staff members.
Client & Stakeholder Liaison
Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and local community stakeholders.
Attend and contribute to site meetings, providing clear updates on progress, risks and opportunities.
Proactively identify and report variations, delays or issues impacting time, cost or quality.
About You
You will be an experienced Site Manager with a proven track record delivering residential or community-style developments from structure through to handover.
We are looking for:
Experience managing medium-scale residential, land lease, retirement or similar community projects.
Strong technical knowledge of building methods, trades and construction sequencing.
Demonstrated commitment to quality workmanship, attention to detail and delivering projects right the first time.
Ability to drive high standards of workmanship and quality across subcontractors and site teams.
Solid WHS focus with a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
An organised and proactive approach to planning, problem-solving and meeting deadlines.
Proficiency with site reporting, email and basic construction software.
Relevant trade qualification and/or building-related qualification preferred.
Current Driver Licence and full Australian working rights.
About the Company

We pride ourselves on:
Long-term client relationships, including the repeat client for this project.

A culture built on professionalism, teamwork, quality workmanship and doing things properly the first time.

Benefits
Competitive salary package commensurate with experience.
Opportunity to lead a landmark lifestyle community project in a sought-after coastal location.
Work with an established builder with repeat clients and a strong local footprint.
Stable pipeline of work and potential for ongoing opportunities beyond this project for the right candidate.
