About the Role:
Legacy on Victoria are looking for a highly skilled and motivated leader to join our team as the Deputy Director of Nursing on a Permanent Full-Time basis.
This is a dynamic role in which you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, while providing support to the clinical team and Director of Nursing. You will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and working with staff to create a positive work environment. This is both a challenging and rewarding position in which you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the delivery of high-quality care for our residents.
Your Main Responsibilities Include:
Maintain rosters and liaise with Director of Nursing to identify and address staffing needs
Assist and support the Director of Nursing with planning, organising, directing and managing of resources and general clinical administration.
Oversee the co-ordination of new admissions
Facilitate family case conferences
Participate in weekly Multidisciplinary Team meetings
Oversee new staff orientations
Co-ordinate allied health referrals and implementation of recommendations
Maintenance of clinical stock and ordering systems
Provide leadership which is innovative, supportive, promotes trust and encourages teamwork
High level of involvement in maintaining accreditation standards and continuous improvement
Supporting the Care Planning Co-ordinator
What We Require from you:
Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated clinical care & staff leadership
Experience as a DDON, CCC, or care manager desirable.
Experience in Aged Care desirable
Knowledge of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and Australian National Aged Care Classification funding model (AN-ACC) desirable
Experience in conducting clinical assessments
Able to provide direction and motivate a multi-disciplinary team with a passion to deliver exceptional care and service to our residents.
Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal skills, human resources and information systems management
Intermediate computer literacy desirable.
Available for shift work for occasions of leave cover
Demonstrated ability to operate independently and professionally.
Attention to detail
Display empathy, sensitivity, discretion, and kindness.
Current Criminal Record Check or NDIS Workers Clearance
