The Opportunity: 
    
Driven by ongoing growth across our Same Employer Division, we are offering a unique opportunity to be part of our expanding success. As a New Graduate or experienced Occupational Therapist you will have a chance to further develop your clinical reasoning skills and play a key role in supporting effective return to work plans. 
 
You will be involved within a structured and hands-on induction, shadowing opportunities and classroom sessions in your first week, followed by ongoing remote learning modules to provide clear understanding of the workers' compensation framework. 
  
Ongoing individual support and team meetings with Team Leader, peer mentor sessions to help you develop the skills to drive and achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients.  
 
Looking after a client portfolio, your day will include:  
  • Manage a portfolio of clients with a physical injury providing return-to-work services and  
  • One off - Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assessments and making recommendations 
  • Complete initial assessments to better understand the injury, recovery timeframes and return to work goals 
  • Visiting workplace to assess environment and duties within the role, identify with employer of any suitable duties while recovering 
  • Providing support through recommendations for community assistance or additional support through the insurer 
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team to provide complex stakeholder management to support the recovery of an injured worker 
  • Document case notes as part of reporting and compliance requirements, applying your clinical judgement to support and guide your clients to a safe return to work goal

About You     
  • General Registration with AHPRA 
  • Tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Car and valid Driver’s license 
  • Police check or willingness to obtain a police check prior to commencement 
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships 
  • Ability to work in autonomously and as part of a team
