About the Role

In this role you will work within our busy Post-Anaesthetic Recovery Unit caring for patients recovering from major surgical procedures. You will review, plan and deliver patient care within the unit with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to our patients. You will work across a rotating roster including evening and weekends, so flexibility is key.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting as a trained Registered Nurse with PACU/Recovery experience. You will hold a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

You will also bring;

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Proven experience within a similar acute Unit or Ward (PACU/Recovery) is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team.
  • Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded, though not essential.

 

Remuneration  

On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $40.24 - $56.52 superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW Ramsay Health Care Nurses & Midwives, Level 1 gr1-gr8). 

 

The Hospital

Ramsay Health Care has had a long association with Coffs Harbour having established Baringa Private Hospital in 1978 as its first medical/surgical hospital and its first hospital outside of Sydney.

Baringa Private Hospital is a 78-bed licensed hospital, (64 Rehabilitation / Surgical, 12 Mental Health, 2 ICU) providing advanced surgery, interventional coronary angiography including the implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators, ICU, endovascular & general surgery, general medical, rehabilitation, palliative care and mental health. Our theatre complex offers state of the art operating facilities, including a newly commissioned ophthalmic theatre. Baringa has a day medical unit which caters for patients requiring chemotherapy and day intravenous therapy.

Requirements 

  • Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months) 
  • Depending on the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
