Coastal Transport has expanded into the local area and are seeking to fill the below positions
Heavy Rigid Drivers- 2 x full-time positions
Use of HIAB Crane/manual unloading of deliveries (depending on product)
Requirements:
Heavy Rigid Licence, with on road experience
HIAB Experience desired but no essential- training to be provided.
Must be physically fit and capable of performing manual unloads when required.
What you'll be doing
Safely operate heavy vehicles to deliver a range of goods and materials to customers
Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring on-time and damage-free deliveries
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and complete necessary paperwork
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any issues
Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles as required- HIAB/Manual unload required
Adhere to all relevant road rules, company policies, and safety procedures
Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the transport operations
What we're looking for
A current and valid HR licence with on road experience
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably within the transport and logistics industry
HIAB experience desired but not essential, willingness to undertake training
Excellent customer service skills and a focus on safety and on-time performance
Strong organisational and time management skills to ensure efficient delivery schedules
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Physical fitness to handle the loading and unloading of vehicles
Ability to pass fitness for duty/driving medical, mandatory drug & alcohol testing
