Refinery Labourer

Sunshine Sugar's Harwood site is seeking a Labourer to join the refinery team, in a permanent role.

General duties

As a Refinery Labourer, you'll be responsible for various tasks:

  • General factory and site cleaning duties

  • Replenish consumables to Refinery and Packing Floor Control Rooms

  • Conduct QA and QC checks and cleaning of equipment

  • Working as part of operations team to conduct vessel inspections, cleaning and maintenance

  • Assist with stock counts and product movements

  • General labouring duties as required by Production Management team

We are looking for:

  • Current Forklift license with relevant experience

  • Mechanical Aptitude

  • Ability to communicate in a clear and constructive manner both verbally and in writing

  • Commitment and good attitude to safety and culture

  • Teamwork and willingness to co-operatively share knowledge

  • Proactive self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Sufficient physical fitness, sight and hearing

  • Ability to work in an environment with frequent exposure to noisy, wet, greasy and/or humid conditions, as well as heights

  • Production experience an advantage but not essential

 Other desirable licences

  • Food Safety awareness or training

  • HACCP awareness or training
