The Opportunity

Based in our Coffs Harbour Industrial division, this role leads the Hydro Digga team, providing industrial vacuum loading, high-pressure water jetting/blasting, and liquid waste services to clients across NSW.

As Branch Manager, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day operations, safety, team leadership, customer relationships, and continuous improvement within the business. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys balancing field operations with administrative and strategic responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee operational performance to meet business, safety, and regulatory requirements

  • Manage administrative tasks including payroll, run sheets, compliance, and reporting

  • Maintain safety and NHVR compliance in partnership with the Compliance team

  • Learn and operate fleet systems, providing support to operators as needed

  • Monitor routes, solve operational issues, and drive productivity

  • Prepare internal and external reports and analyse operational data

  • Strengthen communication between employees, management, and stakeholders

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and councils

  • Work closely with maintenance, sales, and other teams for seamless service delivery

  • Support and assess contractors to ensure safe and efficient work

  • Lead toolbox talks and actively engage with staff

  • Drive business improvement initiatives, tenders, and technology projects

  • Set clear expectations, provide leadership, and develop team capability

  • Champion JRR values and positive workplace culture

  • Stay across industry advancements and innovation opportunities

About You

  • Proven operations management experience within a blue‑collar or industrial environment

  • Valid HR driver’s licence

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Experience in vacuum excavation, drain cleaning, underground services, or waste management (highly regarded)

  • Contract management experience (desirable)

  • Strong interpersonal and conflict‑resolution skills

  • Solid understanding of WHS and NHVR requirements

  • Able to prioritise competing demands while remaining calm under pressure

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A proactive, solutions‑focused leader committed to safety and continuous improvement

  • Willingness to travel as required
