Motackle is looking for a passionate and highly knowledgeable Fly Fishing & Game Fishing Department Attendant to lead one of our most specialised categories at our Coffs Harbour store.

 

This role is ideal for an experienced angler who lives and breathes fly fishing and sportfishing. You’ll play a key role in helping customers prepare for everything from local estuary fly sessions to offshore marlin and game fishing adventures.

The Role

 

As the Fly & Game Retail Fishing Attendant , you will oversee the operation and growth of this specialist department while delivering expert advice and exceptional customer service.

 

Your role will involve:

 

• Leading and developing the Fly Fishing & Game Fishing department

• Providing expert advice on fly fishing setups, game fishing tackle, and sportfishing techniques

• Assisting customers with premium rods, reels, lines, leaders, terminal tackle, and accessories

• Helping anglers prepare for local, offshore, and international fishing trips

• Training and supporting team members in specialist product knowledge

• Maintaining strong merchandising standards and stock management

• Contributing to department growth through product selection and sales performance

• Delivering outstanding customer experiences that keep anglers coming back

 

About You

 

We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about fly fishing and/or game fishing and enjoys sharing their knowledge with others.

 

Ideal candidates may have experience in areas such as:

 

• Fly fishing (saltwater or freshwater)

• Offshore game fishing or sportfishing

• Specialist tackle knowledge

 

You will also have:

 

• Previous retail 

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• A strong work ethic and professional attitude

• The ability to mentor and support other team members

• Good organisational and stock management skills

• Availability to work weekdays and weekends
