About the Role

This is a great opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Carpentry over a four-year period. You will receive a combination of formal training from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures and our Host Employer. This role will involve hands-on experience across various residential projects. 

 

By working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will participate in all aspects of carpentry, including new home builds and residential renovations. This experience will help you develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a qualified carpenter.

 

What You'll Be Doing

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist with all aspects of residential carpentry
  • Work on new home builds and renovation projects
  • Measure, cut and install timber and other building materials
  • Use and maintain hand and power tools safely
  • Assist with framing, flooring, cladding, doors, windows and finishing work
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Maintain a safe and clean worksite
  • Attend formal training and complete the requirements of a Certificate III in Carpentry
  • 100% onsite work at Residential construction sites across new builds and renovation projects

 

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Keen to learn and develop new skills
  • Hardworking with a positive attitude
  • Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Honest and committed to completing their apprenticeship
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
  • Interested in building and construction
  • Hold a White Card or be willing to obtain prior to commencement
  • Drivers Licence - P1 or above
